Full-Time Program Information

Buckeye Career Center is an area leader in offering adult career training programs. We have provided training in a variety of occupations for over thirty-five years and have focused that experience to provide full-time training to adults.

Full-Time Eligibility

Any adult sixteen years of age or older holding a high school diploma or GED is eligible to participate in Buckeye Career Center Career Development programs.

Admissions Policy

Applicants are admitted the first quarter of each year.

Applicants must first go through the application process and pay the application fee and any outstanding tuition/lab fees owed BCC before they can be admitted to a Buckeye Career Center Career Development program. Students attending the school's scheduled Open House may have the $50 application fee waived.

Selection for all applicants to any program are based upon the following:

  1. Applicant must provide a valid high school diploma or GED certificate. If the document's validity is questionable, it is the student's responsibility to provide supporting documentation.

  2. Passage of the WorkKeys® tests at the appropriate level for the chosen program, any follow-up testing and any re-mediation prescribed by the adult education department.

  3. BCI & I Criminal background check if enrolling in OPOTA, Medical Assisting, or Medical Office & Billing Specialist programs.

  4. Application and application fee paid.

  5. Ability to pay tuition and lab fees.

  6. Additional individual requirements as applicable to various programs.

All applicants who have completed the above requirements by the specified deadline will be interviewed by the selection committee. Applicants will be notified of the decision concerning their acceptance into the program. Applicants who were not admitted may reapply for the next program.

Failure to provide the above will prohibit the student from admission to the program.

Withdrawal Procedure for Full-Time Students

The Student Services Coordinator must be notified when a student has decided to withdraw from their program. A student will be required to complete a withdrawal form at this time. Any agency that the student may be working with will also be notified at that time of the student's intention to withdraw. A WITHDRAWAL DOES NOT ELIMINATE A STUDENT'S DEBT TO THE SCHOOL!

Tuition Payment Plans

Payment Dates:

  • 1st Payment Deadline - One-half of full tuition and lab fees due August 21, 2024

  • 2nd Payment Deadline - Remaining half of full tuition and lab fees due March 1, 2025

Each student is responsible for payment of all tuition and lab fees on or before the due date(s). Any student who fails to meet payment deadlines is considered automatically withdrawn! As of August 21, 2024, you are responsible for the full payment of all tuition and lab fees according to the payment schedule plan(s) and the Refund Policy listed below whether you fail, withdraw, or leave the program for any reason.

Primary

  1. If you do not receive financial aid, 100% of tuition and lab fees are due on or before the first day of the program.

  2. If you receive financial aid, 100% of tuition and lab fees less the amount of financial aid received by the school (this is not what you've been approved for) is due on or before the first day of the program.

Secondary
